The free Battle Royale shooter Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodhunt has recently been available and is enjoying growing popularity on Steam. We’ll tell you what awaits you in the shooter and where the great strengths and weaknesses of the title lie.

Since the 27. April 2022 you can make the virtual streets and roofs of Prague in the game Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt unsafe. In the new Battle-Royale shooter , you attack poor passers-by as a creature of the night and fight enemy vampires.
Compared to other Battle Royale games, the Third-Personal shooter comfortably stands out through its vampire scenario. So you can jump meter high as a bloodsucker, climb up on house walls or activate special skills depending on the class . These include skills, for example, to make yourself invisible or to create a pressure wave.
Thanks to its relatively small map and the high movement pace, Bloodhunt is designed for fast, short rounds . Otherwise, many mechanics are already known from other Battle Royale games. For example, you collect weapons and equipment, while you are circling in parallel through a fatal, red fog.
After the respective round, which you can complete either Solo or in the trio , there are experience points that will continue to rise to you. This in turn unlocks passive bonuses piece by piece.
Also interesting: you can design your playing figure rudimentary yourself. Currently, the possibilities are still limited and almost exclusively bound to the Ingame Shop , which should finance the free game in the future.
A new star in the Battle Royale heaven?
The Steam community likes the game and so Vampires gets: The Masquerade-Bloodhunt “Mostly positive” ratings . Above all, it is praised that the shooter does not have Pay2win mechanics .
Many users also praise the good movement, the slightly different approach and the smooth performance. On the other hand, the lack of duo mode, the lack of an in-game report function and the registration compulsion are criticized for the first time.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt is also available for the PlayStation 5 . Thanks to the German youth protection, the game costs 25 cents on Sony’s console. On the other hand, you can get started on Steam and measure yourself with currently 11,000 other players (see Steamcharts).
