Spider-Man: No Way Home It meant the end for the arachnid trilogy that started at Homecoming , but that does not necessarily say that Tom Holland is already going to say goodbye to the character. The young actor recently participated in an interview with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield , and it was here where he returned to touch the subject about his possible output of MCU .
Although no way home could be considered as a history of origin for spider-man , holland also sees it as an ideal opportunity to say goodbye to the paper, and allow the next generation of heroes Arrive at MCU . In the words of him own:
“The film was the most special thing I could have experienced, sharing screen with my colleagues, interpreting Spider-Man can be an alienating experience because we have only done it three people. Sharing it with them two has been an incredible experience of which I have phenomenal memories. I do not know, there is a part of me who says it is the perfect time to jump out of the building and swing me to the sunset and allow the next luck boy to take the superhero costume. “
I know I love this character and I know I’m not ready to say goodbye. But if it’s time to say goodbye, I’ll do it with a lot of pride, knowing that I have achieved everything I wanted to achieve with Peter Parker / Spider-Man. And being able to share it with them [Maguire and Garfield] will be, forever, one of the best experiences I have had in my career. So, if it’s time, it’s time. If it is not the moment, it is not. But right now I do not know. “
So the future of Holland at MCU is still uncertain, although I doubt very much that Marvel and Sony intend to restart Spider-Man again. After all, the character is already quite involved in this cinematographic universe.
Editor’s note : One of the reasons why Holland was left with paper, it is because Marvel wanted a young actor to play Spider-Man in the MCU. Obviously, they want this version of the Arachnid to project more immaturity, so it would not make much sense that just with three films, Holland retirks from the paper.
